About Us
Welcome!
I'm Charlie Closson, co-founder of Tropickle Sports. I'm 19 years old and currently a sophomore in college. Growing up, sports have always been a huge part of my life. From the soccer field to the football field, I’ve always loved the thrill of competition. Beyond sports, my favorite moments are spent with family. It may sound cliché, but my older sister, Gracie, and younger brother, Augie, are my best friends. I’m also incredibly close with my mom and step-dad—we’re a tight-knit crew that loves to ride bikes, hit the beach, play paddle ball, boogie board, hike, and just be totally goofy together. It’s these moments that inspired our slogan: Relish the Moment!
About a year ago, we discovered pickleball and quickly became obsessed. That’s how Tropickle Sports came to life. My mom and I noticed that most paddles on the market were either dull in design or lacking in quality. As a college student who’s all about fun and energy on the court, I knew we could create something better—paddles that are not only high-quality but also vibrant, colorful, and, most importantly, fun!
As I continue my college journey, I’m excited to see Tropickle Sports grow within the pickleball community. I’m constantly learning and working to bring more innovative products to the sport I love. Whether you're new to pickleball or a seasoned player, I’m thrilled to be part of your journey. Thank you for choosing Tropickle Sports and joining our incredible community.
Now go out there and Relish the Moment!
