Serving

  1. Underhand Serve: The serve must be made with an underhand motion, contacting the ball below the server’s waist (navel level).
  2. Feet Position: At least one foot must stay behind the baseline during the serve, and neither foot can touch the court or baseline until after the ball is struck.
  3. Diagonal Target: The serve must land in the diagonally opposite service box, beyond the non-volley zone (kitchen).
  4. One Attempt: Only one serve attempt is allowed, unless there’s a let (e.g., the ball hits the net but lands in the correct service area).
  5. Positioning: The server starts on the right-hand side when their score is even and on the left when their score is odd.

Play begins as soon as the ball is served, and each player or team serves until they lose a rally!
